HONG KONG, August 22, 2018 Capitalising on their considerable experience in the airline industry, East2 is launching a new travel ecosystem using blockchain and digital loyalty tokens. With teams based in Europe and Asia, East2 is aiming to disrupt and change the long-standing airline frequent flyer loyalty model with users scheduled to be live on the system in 2019.

East2’s Air Loyalty Plus program can replace, enhance or be integrated on a modular basis with current airline loyalty points/miles programs.

Stephen Bartlett-Bragg, Co-Founder and Executive Director, said,

“We are aiming to put the loyalty back into loyalty programs by offering frequent flyers the rewards that they really want – without restrictions, and complex restrictions. For the airlines, we are offering reduced operating costs, improved access to ancillary revenues, and greater engagement with their customers. New technologies coming into the market and a user-centred approach provides us the opportunity to re-design loyalty programs for both travellers and airlines.”

The East2 team are well experienced and connected in the airline sector, having founded and developed the highly successful EB2 airline internet booking system QuickTRIP which was acquired by Sabre in 2008. East2 and its alliance partners have strong links with all sectors of the travel industry and an extensive connected network into airlines around the world. They plan to focus initially on the Asia/Pacific and EMEA regions.

East2 are entering a pre-sale phase and prospective investors, airlines and frequent flyers can find out more at the new website www.east2.io Their White Paper and Lite Papers can be downloaded which details the project.
